Searching for documents

• It must be possible to find what you want

  • When you want it - and fast
• Depends on the technology of your repository
• Typically, you search by document name

  • Hence, consistent naming standards are vital
• Or searching may be by Key Words

  • (Descriptive words describing the document)

    • E.g. Title, subject, author, contact, date
  • And frequently used words in the content
