  • Use your favorite graphics program

• For a web site

  • Reduce the "canvas" size to less than 540 pixels wide (7.5 inches)

    • Preferably smaller
  • This avoids scaling down the graphic

    • Reducing load time and serious deterioration
  • Compress the file to GIF

    • Or JPEG for colored photos
