- Develop a strategic "world view" of the client's enterprise
- And not just a tactical or operational one
 
- Be able to communicate 
- With both the client
- And the suppliers (builders, or constructors)
 
- Monitor, inspect, and protect the client's vision
- In the product's design
- And in its production outcome
