Intuitive symbol choices
The following colors seem to make most sense
- Green for starting anything (Go)
- Yellow for wait and see (Amber warning)
- Red for finishing (Stop)
- Blue for information
And the following shapes seem to be most basic
- Check mark for done
- Up arrow for start
- Down arrow for finish
- A strike-through for delete, cancel or change
- Circle for a milestone
- A box for a deliverable
