Integration of the work packages
A vital responsibility between technology management and project management is in
- Maintaining compatibility and integration between the variously related work package deliverables
- Especially as their baselines evolve
- Or technological changes are incorporated
This activity is called Configuration Management - i.e. the process of
- Defining the evolving technological baselines of the project
- Controlling the changes to these baselines, and
- Recording and communicating the changes in status
