  • A source of potential harm
• Risk

  • A measure of how bad and how often
• Risk Event

  • What actually happened giving rise to consequences
• Consequence

  • How bad it is if things go wrong
• Risk Control

  • The means of stopping hazards turning into risk events and resulting in risk consequences
